Novels

Guardian of the Sacred Spirit (精霊の守り人, Seirei no Moribito) is the first in the "Guardian" series of fantasy novels by Nahoko Uehashi. An anime television series based on the novels and directed by Kenji Kamiyama began broadcasting on April 7, 2007. The novel series was published in hardback by Kaiseisha as children's literature, but has many adult fans. The first volume is slated for release in bunko size by Shinchosha in March 2007. The Tabibito series takes place in the same world with common characters, but with a different protagonist. The two series merge in the final book, Ten to Chi no Moribito.
